Abstract

Household organic waste management in Opaasi Village, West Ranoometo district, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, is still not optimal so that it has the potential to cause environmental pollution. This service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the community in processing household waste into liquid organic fertilizer (POC) to support sustainable agriculture. The methods used include counseling, demonstrations of POC making, hands-on practice, and participant assistance. The target of the activity is farmer groups, housewives, and village youth. The training results showed an increase in community understanding of organic waste management and the ability to produce POC independently. Participants also understood the benefits of POC as an environmentally friendly fertilizer alternative for agricultural and horticultural crops. This program has the potential to support the reduction of organic waste, increase environmental awareness, and strengthen sustainable agricultural practices in Opaasi Village.
