Training on Hydroponic Vegetable Cultivation with Deep Flow Technique System to the Community in Serangmekar Village, Ciparay, Bandung Regency

Abstract

The Community Service Program in Serangmekar Village, Ciparay Subdistrict, Bandung Regency, aims to improve the understanding and skills of PKK mothers in cultivating horticultural plants through the Deep Flow Technique (DFT) hydroponic system. The methods used included socialisation, theoretical training, and hands-on practice in making simple hydroponic installations. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge about the basic concepts of hydroponics and the ability to carry out seeding, seedling care, and transplanting independently. In addition, participants successfully applied the techniques taught by building hydroponic installations in their respective yards, contributing to the fulfilment of family nutrition and the potential for improving the welfare of the local community.
